Are you certified by a translator’s organization?

As a company, MultiTech Communications, Inc. is not. Generally speaking, certification is available to individuals only. For example, the American Translators Association (ATA) accredits individuals in specific language combinations, such as Spanish into English or English into French. Our president is accredited by the ATA in three language combinations. Many of our translators have ATA accreditation; others have highly specialized degrees or professional designations from organizations in their home countries.



Do you publish a rate chart?

No, we don’t. We don’t use a cookie-cutter approach. All assignments are priced individually.



How do you arrive at your fees?

Fees depend on a variety of factors:

  • Language combination (e.g., Portuguese into English; English into Chinese)
  • Length and legibility
  • Degree of difficulty
  • Purpose of translation (e.g., for information only; for publication)
  • Turnaround time desired



How can we obtain a quote?

Please contact us by e-mail or fax. We will respond promptly to all inquiries.



How long does a translation take?

In all cases, we seek to meet the requirements of clients. Because our primary concern is quality, we may sometimes counsel clients to reconsider their deadlines.



Can you provide references or samples?

Yes, we can. Please send us the details of the assignment you have in mind by e-mail or fax, so we can provide you with the most appropriate references or samples, or both.



Do you have literature you can mail us?

Yes, we do. Please send us your name, title, company name, and address by e-mail or fax. We will gladly send you an information package.



Can you provide certified translations?

Yes, we can. We have a standard notary form certifying that the translation attached to the form is accurate. This form is generally required when a translation is submitted to a court or a government agency.



Do you provide interpreting services?

No, we don’t. Interpreting requires an entirely different set of skills. We believe we can best serve our clients by focusing on our core skill: translation of written text. However, we do counsel clients on how to obtain professional interpreting services.



What is your policy on confidentiality?

We handle the translation needs of many of the major players in insurance, reinsurance, risk management, employee benefits, healthcare, and related fields such as law and financial services. Many of our clients are competitors. We do not divulge the nature of any assignment to any person outside our firm. We will gladly sign reasonable confidentiality agreements.
